7 Black Friday Dos & Don'ts

It’s almost that time for the biggest shopping extravaganza of the year, Black Friday! Black Friday is a mixture of an exhilarating but also extremely stressful experience. From deciding on how much to spend to what time you need to be in line at your favorite stores to catch those insane deals, it can all become a bit much. However, here at Let Us Organize it we are Black Friday shopping experts and we’re here to give you all the Do’s and Don'ts of Black Friday.

Do pre-plan

Save yourself the hassle of stressing out Thanksgiving night wondering what stores you running into post-turkey throwdown. Take a minute and write down all the stores you're planning to go to; how much time you're spending in each store; and the precise products you're looking to purchase. Having this handy saves you an ample amount of time and stress.

Don’t overspend

It can be very easy to get caught up on all the amazing deals around you and want to spend your entire paycheck at all your favorite stores. However, keep in mind your own personal budget and how it may reflect you after all the shopping is done!

  • Bonus Tip!: Leave the debit cards at home and bring cash to simplify your spending.

Do Shop Online

If you get a little anxious with huge crowds or prefer the comfort of your own home when it comes to shopping, just do it online. Cyber Monday is an online alternative to in-store Black Friday shopping that a lot of people prefer. You get almost all the same deals without having to be hassled by those insane lines and crowded stores.

Don’t get caught up in the madness.

Just so that the day can be enjoyable for you and everyone else, do not get involved in any of the frenzies that can come with Black Friday shopping. Stay away from any pushing, elbowing, shoving, or arguing. At the end of the day, shopping is meant to be a fun and light-hearted experience.

Do enact some pre-shopping research.

It could be beneficial to look up any information involving Black Friday Shopping, whether that's looking for blogs that have all the Black Friday trips and tricks or researching which stores offer discounts.

Don't rely on it for Christmas presents.

Black Friday should be used as a first-stop shop for your Christmas shopping instead of it being your only opportunity to get all your holiday shopping done. Get what you can, but don’t worry if you can't get every gift all at once.
